This is wonderful served warm during these cooler months, and so very easy to make. It's also a great one to make when you want it to look like you've made a little more effort. Served with any vegetables or sides you want, we went for broccoli, potato wedges and sweetcorn. It would also work well with baked beans or some root vegetable mash.

Cook Time 35 minutes mins
- 400 g Sausage Meat I buy regular sausages and squeeze out the insides from the skin of them.
- an Egg
- a medium Onion sliced
- 2 Garlic Cloves diced
- an Apple peeled and grated
- a tsp Rosemary dried or fresh
- a tsp Ground Cinnamon
- a Sheet of Puff Pastry I use the Jus-Rol ready rolled sheets
- an Egg for egg wash
Sauté your sliced onion, grated apple and garlic in a pan with a splash of olive oil over a low-medium heat until softened – around 5 minutes.
In a bowl combine your sautéed onion mix, the sausage meat, egg, rosemary and cinnamon.
Place your puff pastry sheet on some floured baking paper.
Place the sausage mix in the middle, and shape like a log between the longer edges. You want to leave a few cm's at either end. Spread the egg wash over the uncovered pastry.
Roll one of the longer edges on top and then do the same with the other and place that on top. Press down gently to seal.
Cover the top with a little more egg wash and bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 35 minutes.
