Kidney beans hold so many important nutrients, especially manganese, iron and folate – the latter two are commonly deficient in infants. They're also a great source of B vitamins, fibre and omega-3 fatty acids.
Prep Time 2 minutes mins
Cook Time 12 minutes mins
- a tin Kidney Beans drained
- 1/2 cup Almond Butter
- 1/2 cup Honey
- a tsp Baking Powder
- 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- a tbsp Chia Seeds
Add your kidney beans, almond butter, honey, baking powder and cocoa powder to a blender until thick and smooth.
Stir in your chia seeds.
Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and spoon the mixture into 10 equally sized circles – it's more of a batter than a dough so you'll need to spoon the mixture on.
Bake at 180C for 12 minutes.
Allow to cool and set before eating – enjoy!
